Corinthians Football Club has partnered PSL club Mpumalanga Black Aces and has been renamed the Corinthians-Black Aces Football Club.

Our club is the main feeder of the Black Aces Academy and we strive to develop our players, coaches and management to a professional level and lay the foundation for a formula that will benefit our stars of the future (players), parents and our coaches and management.

Based in Linksfield, Johannesburg, we now offer football for all ages from under-6 in all age groups up to an open mens team. We are proud of the tradition of providing regular players in various Eastern Gauteng representative teams.

In 2011 the club won the prestigious Gauteng Central LFA Club of the Year Award. In addition 2 (Under 14 and under 15) teams won the league and cup double and the Under 12’s where crowned the cup champions. Further to this the seniors and U13’s reached the final in their age groups.

Corinthians FC is the football arm of the Greek Sporting Club and has been playing in the amateur leagues for many years and is steeped in Football tradition. In fact the club has been playing football around Johannesburg since 1958.

Today the Corinthians Black Aces Football Academy caters for teams with players from all the surrounding communities including the Alexandria Township where many previously disadvantage boys are able hone their skills fully sponsored by this Academy.

Corinthians-Black Aces FC has football teams ranging from:

  • Under 5 to Under 11 playing in little league Football
  • Under 12 to Under 19 playing in the junior section
  • 7 Black Aces Academy teams, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U19 playing in the SAFA Gauteng Development League
  • Two Open teams playing in the 1st division of the Southern Gauteng Premier League
  • In addition the club has two teams for over 35’s playing in a Veteran’s league
  • The club also actively promotes girls football with a registered girls team

The Academy has a progressive football coaching philosophy and in this vein encourages coaches to do coaching courses. The club is always looking for coaches so if you have an interest in coaching contact the club football manager, Hans Van Aalst.

We are a very progressive club who support our members and participate in regular local and international tournaments.

Our recent trips include:

  • Under 13's playing in their second Mundialito tournament in Portugal in April 2015
  • The under 11’s traveled to the Real Madrid Academy in April 2012
  • The under 12’s traveled to Carrington in Manchester, UK, home of the Manchester United Academy.
  • The under 10’s traveled to Cape Town, taking part in the Ajax Cape Town tournament.
  • The under 17’s traveled to Cyprus where they competed with the U17 teams of the Cyprus big four premier teams, namely Anorthosis, Omonia, Apoel Nicosia and Limassol.

Corinthians-Black Aces Football Club has a progressive football coaching philosophy performed in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

Match days are well supported by our members who have comfortable viewing areas supported by a large coffee shop with panoramic views over the facility.

The club is constantly upgrading its facilities under the guidance of the Lucas Ioannides, Chairman of the Greek Sporting Club.

Recent additions are the opening of a world-class gym which is open to the public and the upgrade of the road and parking areas.

Last year saw the erection of floodlights on all our fields, which have just been rejuvinated and are maintained by an outsourced company.
