16-year old Bradley Cross was the big winner at the Alex Black Aces Academy 2017 Prize Giving Evening held in Linksfield last night.

Brad, who had earlier travelled to Zambia with the SA U20 team, won the prestigious Club Player as well as the U17 Player of the Year.

The other big winner of the evening, was the victorious U15 Academy team, that went unbeaten all season and were a whopping 23 points ahead of the 2nd positioned Bidvest Wits. Their coach Raymond Seneo deservedly walked off with Club Coach of the Year.

Top Goal Scorer went to Juniour Nare who broke a club record by scoring 19 goals while the Best Keepers was shared between Alexis Appolonatos, who plays for the U17's and has been promoted to the 1st team and the impressive 14-year old Bontle Molefe.

All the players received certificates and the awards were presented by their coaches and guest speaker Zeca Marques, Greek Sporting Club chairman Lucas Ioannides, ex Aces captain Eddie Ngalo and Academy Director Tony Dias.

The evening, attended by club boss Mario Morfou, was a major success and all indications are that this Alex Black Aces Academy is now becoming a major force in South African youth development.
