Alexandra Black Aces will be looking for bragging rights over their neighbours in their 2nd ABC Motsepe league match to be played at the Alexandra Stadium on Saturday 23rd - 3pm kick-off.

Alexandra Black Aces have been training very hard this week and are determined to get their season back on track and Aces captain and central defender Tsietsi Mahoa, will be key to keeping things calm at the back. Theo Mbiyozo, who is lightning quick and has a good eye for goal, will look to his combination play with the talented Kurt Pienaar, while the nippy striker Collen Zimba will surely give the United defence something to think about.

Ermano Barends, who pulled a hamstring in the Gold City Giants 1-0 Nedbank Prelim match loss against Swallows FC, will definitely not be considered.

Alex United have assembled a good team this season and fans in Alexandra are in for an exciting match in this local derby.

Last season’s home fixture played at the Greek Club saw the teams battle to a 2-2 draw with goals from Ngobeni and Bester. In the away game played at Edenvale Rugby Club, United triumphed 3-1.

In their opening match against Vaal Professionals FC at the George Thabe Stadium, United came away winners 1-2 in a tough encounter, while Aces went down 2-0 to a rejuvenated Swallows FC.

In their next league match Alexandra United will host African All Stars at the Edenvale Rugby Club on the 29th September at 7pm. Dube Continental host Alexandra Black Aces at the Nike Centre on 1st October in a 3pm kick-off.
