Aces Academy update

Aces were hosted by Rosina Sedibane and won 2, drew 1 with one game postponed in the latest round of the SAFA Gauteng Development League.

U13's
Rosina Sedibane 1 - 2 Black Aces (Braydon Dunn 2)

COACHES COMMENT
Although we dominated possession and territory we failed to capitalize and score.

More work has to be done on maximizing possession and creating scoring opportunities.

Again we conceded a soft, direct encounter attack goal.
An average performance overall not aided by some dreadful refereeing.

U15's
Rosina Sedibane 1 - 2 Black Aces (Corban Jacobs 2)

COACHES COMMENT
An end-to-end 1st half with Rosina giving as much as we gave. Not the best attitudes by key players to our game-plan to implement it effectively.

Motive behind our game-plan was to try and expose and groom the young Rahim Arnold to a central striker position, as the academy has decided to promote our current lead striker Junior Nare to the U17 team on a full-time basis.

Though things didn't turn out 100%, going forward I'm positive that with more and proper effective training sessions as development processes requires, we will soon get it right.

A much better attitude in the 2nd half, complimented by tactical positional changes, resulted in Corban Jacobs scoring two well taken goals.

I must say that we gave away a very stupid late consolation goal.

U17's
Rosina Sedibane - Postponed - Black Aces

U19's
Rosina Sedibane 2 - 2 Black Aces (Promise Dube, Thabiso Botopela)

COACHES COMMENT
We started the game slow and had alot of offside calls in the 1st half. We did not apply good desicion making in the last third which relates to us applying accelerated awareness traing in our sessions.

The 2nd half was much better in terms of controlling the game however we were sloppy at times giving away possession cheaply.

We were in the ascendancy at 2-1 and an error from our defence led to Rosina equalising, this is a typical technical error when applying a particular technique.

Lots of work awaits us however there are a lot of positives.
