CONGRATULATIONS to Alex Black Aces Academies Junior Nare (left) and James McFarlane (right) for being selected to the National SA U17 team (Amajimbos).

The 21 men squad fly out of OR Tambo at 10am today to participate in the 2017 U17 COSAFA Cup in Mauritius from 21- 30 July 2017.

Amajimbos coach Molefi Ntseki initially unveiled a provisional 25-man squad that also included Bryn Deeley who may also make the team and fly out tomorrow.

A 4th Aces Academy player, the precociously talented goalkeeper Bontle Molefe was also called up but was not selected as his passport had expired.

Amajimbos will be hoping to go all the way this year when they return to Mauritius after the narrow 5-4 penalty defeat suffered at the hands of Namibia in the 2016 final.

Amajimbos will start their campaign against Mozambique on Friday before a tricky encounter against Zambia two days later. Their final group match will be against Madagascar on Tuesday, 25 July.

Group B will be represented by hosts Mauritius, Botswana, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Well done to both!!!
