Black Aces 1-0 Orlando Pirates (Kianga)
A tense game against Pirates. Indeed the boys showed character to ensure that they got the maximum points.
Good use of the ball, especially in the 2nd half. Was pleased with the boys' winning mentality to keep knocking at the opposition's goals until they succumbed to the pressure.
A wonderful goal created and scored by two substitutes, a nice floated cross pass by Bradley Thomas for Manasse Kianga to finish.
Positive spirit indeed by the two substitutes to come in and help their teammates!
Black Aces 0-1 Orlando Pirates
Good performance by the boys. Conceded a very soft goal in the 16th minute but competed well against a very big and strong Orlando Pirates squad.
Had a couple of chances to pull a goal back in the 2nd half but the Pirates keeper was more than capable.
Overall happy with the performance and attitude of the boys.
Black Aces 1-1 Orlando Pirates (Phiri)
A very tactical game by both teams which had good energy levels. Our boys adapted well to the game. I was encouraged and pleased by their willingness to build from the back even when it was tight. That is attributed to self confidence which is a good trait from our defence.
A player like Brad from our U17's would of easily adjusted to the standard of U19's so the future is bright.
The game went into halftime at 0-0 and it only took a set-play from Pirates to score. Our boys showed a lot of willingness to fight back and get an equaliser. Our transition from attack to defense was spot-on however we were rushing in the final third, an area that we need to work on.
We managed to score two minutes from time as a result of constant pressure in the oppositions half - Brandon Phiri scored the equaliser.
Black Aces 4-1 BCC U13 (Deftereos, Moyo, Bennett, Marinheiro)
A very slow start from the boys in the 1st half as they couldn't keep possession. and find those windows to unlock the oppositions back-line.
A much better 2nd half as all 4 goals were scored within 15 minutes of the restart.
Not the greatest game from the boys but their never-lose attitude saw them through to victory.
