Amazayoni will travel to the Pilditch Stadium targeting all three points away from home. The Gold City Giants are slowly getting back to their best and showed signs of improvement against African All Stars in their last encounter. Aces have scored eight goals, dominated team and are yet to lose a match in their last five encounters. The Coach Lombi led side is determined to complete a double over Dondol Stars on Saturday, 04 February. Match kickoff is at 16h00.
The first round encounter ended in favour of the Gold City Giants, thanks to goals by Esau Mtsweni, Siyanda Mathenjwa and Clifford Ngobeni. Dondol Stars have improved a lot since than with the team collecting 33 points and 8 wins from 21 matches. With only 3 points separating the two teams, the match is expected to be open with both teams attacking each other from the first whistle. Stars will also be looking for revenge after suffering defeat at the Greek Sporting Club last year.
Aces will rely on their experienced defence to stop anything thrown at them by the home side while in attack, the Aces players will surely test Dondol Star’s goalkeeper and if their scoring rate is anything to go by, the Gold City Giants will surely keep improving and in the process move up the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League.
