Coach Lombi has called for improvements in the Aces side which is preparing for a home match against African All Stars on Saturday, 28 January. Kick Off 3pm.

The Gold City Giants have dominated matches since the start of the year but fail to finish off their opponents. Amazayoni are known for their attacking style of play but have been unlucky in front of goals. The team’s midfield is stronger than ever, with attack minded players such as Themba Njwaga and Sandile Mazibuko showing improvements with each match. Aces players play with confidence and are not afraid to express themselves on the field.

Coach Lombi has been able to get the best out of his players, and will hope his team scores more than one goal against Amazozo come match day. Aces have given away leads in a number of matches, dropping valuable points in the process. Coach Lombi has made it his priority to get his strikers to improve their goal scoring ratio. Midfield kingpin Clifford Ngobeni currently leads the scoring charts with 7 goals.

With his injury sidelining him for a few matches, a new star will have to step up and take responsibility in-front of goals. With better composure inside the box, Aces can finish the last 10 matches in the ABC Motsepe League on a high note. Amazayoni faithful supporters will hope to see improvements in the team when they clash with African All Star at the Greek Sporting Club. The away team comes into the match on the back of a disappointing draw with struggling M.Tigers mid-week.

Amazozo as African All Stars are known, are currently 12th on the log with only 22 points from 20 matches. Aces will fancy their chances against them, especially playing at home and with Coach Lombi so determined to turn things around, it’s only a matter of time before the Gold City Giants starts firing on all cylinders.
