Former PSL sides Black Aces and Moroka Swallows will lock horns on Saturday at the Greek Sporting Club.

Former PSL clubs Black Aces and Moroka Swallows couldn’t have met at a better time. Both teams are starting to hit top form in the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League. Despite being in their first season in the demanding league, both sides currently occupy positions in the top half of the log. Alexandra Black Aces are only a point ahead of the Dube Birds with more than 15 matches still to be played, making the upcoming match a must win for both camps.

Not much separates the two sides as both have renowned coaches leading them. The Gold City Giants are led by Steve Barker who has years of experience both in the PSL and NFD. The renowned coach has done unbelievable job with the youngsters at the club. He is fully committed to the club and is working hard to return the team to the PSL. You can almost tell that he comes from a family with his man management and leadership skills.

Barker knows what it takes to win promotion and has given countless young players their big breaks. The coach will hope his youngsters continue their dominance over Swallows. Aces won the last two encounters against the Soweto giants and will look to extend that record to three at the Greek Sporting Club on Saturday. Swallows pulled off one of the biggest upsets in their last match against Vaal Professionals.

Despite conceding 19 goals already this campaign, the side managed to keep a clean sheet away from home to record an unexpected victory last week. With so much history between the two sides, an open match is expected come match day. Match kickoff is at 15H00.
